Relationship with national policy

Q. Is the government proposing any major changes to policy e.g. on green belts?

The new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) is a single document that replaces all existing topic-based national policy. No substantial changes to green belt policy are envisaged. However, the NPPF is very pro-growth and is clear that local housing issues need to be addressed.
